Technical Data and Information: pH Factors:
Physical Properties: Appearance (as shipped): Mint colored liquid Solids: 46 - 60% pH (as shipped): 10.56 Weight Per Gallon: 8.9 Lbs. Toxicity: Non-toxic Flammability: Non-flammable Odor (Concentrate): Ammonia present Soil Temperature: The temperature of the soil is unaffected by an application of Soil Seal solution. Due to the fact that the crustation does not allow sufficient air and moisture to pass through, the temperature change is not measurable. Infiltration: Depending on the formulation of the solution, the crustation can either en-trap the water and reduce infiltration, or allow the water to pass through in moderate rates. However, it is a characteristic of Soil Seal that except for the heaviest of application rates, infiltration does exist. Soil Moisture: The chart below illustrates the effect of Soil Seal upon soil moisture. The application of Soil Seal reduced the evaporation rate but the percentage of overall evaporation remains essentially constant.

Irrigation: Irrigation should be withheld for a 24 - 48 hour period after application the Soil Seal solution. Once the solution has had an opportunity to cure and dry, irrigation may begin in sufficient amounts to provide for the requirement of any vegetation or seed.
